Requirements to Race
- For the adults go karts a driver licensee or learner’s permit is needed
- Drivers under 15 with no learner’s permit can drive the junior karts
- Closed toe shoes are required
- Full Face helmets are required
- Long hair and loose clothing are required to be tucked away

Want to test your racing skills? Want to see if you can keep or? Indoor go kart racing has exploded! The speed of the go karts and the convenience of racing indoors has made indoor go karting super popular!
Sykart is no exception. This indoor racing facility in Portland has top of the line equipment paired with a challenging road course track.
The go karts at Sykart are fast. There is no other way to put it. 9 HP Honda GX Gas Powered go karts will move you at speeds up to 45 MPH!
There are JR go karts that have much less HP which top out at about 20 MPH.
A little bit of advice to help your racing day go smoothly, always wear clothes toed shoes that are comfortable.
Wear soft and flexible clothing. Make sure that the clothes are not too baggy as well. Be prepared to tie up hair past shoulder length for safety reasons.
Also book your race online! You will save a lot of time standing around waiting to go out and race!

- Teen/Adult – 58″ tall
- Juniors and Adult karts cannot be on the track at the same time
- You do not need a driver’s license to race
- Helmets are required. If you have your own DOT full face helmet with a shield you can wear it

The unmatched speed and track layouts produce fantastic racing. The go karts are electric, and they are fast, like really fast. Top speeds can reach 45 mph! The 20-horsepower electric motors will have you holding on as you fly down the track.
You will want to keep the go kart straight and avoid any drifting. Drifting will scrub speed so your lap times will be slower.
