Playtime Family Fun – Go Karts Ocean Shores, WA
Located right in Ocean Shores, WA is Playtime Family Fun. Close to the beach, close to the ice cream and at the center of the fun!
Playtime has two types of go karts. There is a slick kart and the regular go karts. They both cost the same at $9 for a single driver go kart and $12 for a double go kart.
What I like is the Slick track!
What is a Slick track?
A Slick track is a go kart track that the surface is prepped with something to significantly lower the grip levels.
For example, water can create a very slick surface. Driving on a slick track at first may be frustrating to figure out.
The key is to get the kart to turn into the corner. Once this happens the rear will rotate and want to come around. You will most likely spin out the first couple times.
After you steer into the corner and the rear of the go kart wants to spin out start to counter steer. This is a balance. Too much counter steer and you whip the opposite direction. You want to use as little steering wheel input as possible.
Steering the wheel back and forth will slow you down and you will lose speed.
