K1 Speed – Indy’s Best

When it comes to indoor go kart racing, K1 Speed is one of the best. The facilities, go karts, and overall experience are top notch. All of the K1 Speeds I have been to have been great experiences.

The best part about K1 Speed is the go karts. They are always fast, good handling, and lots of fun. As a former racer I can testify that these go karts will challenge you.

Are they race go karts? No. But they are Damn Close.

Indianapolis Go Karts – K1 Speed

The go karts are 100 percent electric.

No fumes.

No Oils.

No Gas.

The power plants that push these along are 20-horsepower electric motors. Capable of speeds up to 45 miles per hour! The chassis can handle the speeds as well. They are well maintained and full of safety measures to make sure you stay safe while racing.

K1 Speed Facilities – Indianapolis

If you ever get over the go karts the facilities are next to fuss over. The buildings are clean, air conditioned, and full of other activities to do.

If you are looking for food while there, they have the Paddock Lounge. A full bar and restaurant with an extensive menu.

K1 is also a great place for holding an event. They are set up to handle large groups. Making this place great for anything you want to plan in the Indianapolis area.

Fastimes and Family Fun – Go Karting in Indianapolis

Fastimes in Indianapolis is a local go kart track to the Indianapolis area. But, do not let that fool you. These go karts are some of the fastest in the area. They also have a great facility to host all kinds of great events.

This go kart venue was opened over 20 years ago. Built from a dream of making a challenging high grip go kart track. Sounds like my kind of fun. Let’s all give kudos to Roger Wethington for building an amazing product.

SIK Go Karts in Indianapolis, IN

SIK is right in the heart of Indianapolis. Whether you live in Indianapolis or you are visiting SIK is a quick easy trip from the center of Indy.

The go kart track is a bit different in the sense that these are gas powered indoor go karts. Most tracks these days use electric indoor go karts. SIK is sticking to the roots of karting and going gas! And I love it!

Gas go-karts have their downfall but so do electric karts.

The go karts at SIK are CRG racing style go karts. You don’t get some junky rental go kart. You get the real deal. The engines are no slouch either. Honda GX270s power these bad boys. Moving you around the track at speeds up to 40+ MPH.

The Junior karts use a Honda GX120 and reach speeds of up to 30 MPH.

All of the go karts utilize a 4-point safety harness, adjustable seat, and adjustable pedals to accommodate most any driver. There is even a 2 Seater Go kart. This is also different. Most high speed go kart tracks do not offer this. Be sure to call and schedule ahead of time if you are looking to do this.

Golf and Sports SIM – Golf Fun in Indy

Go Karts have and will remain to be the main attraction at SIK. Diversification is key though. Accommodating all of your guests is important. That is why they have added a Full Swing golf simulator.

Whiteland Raceway Park – America’s Oldest Go Kart Track

WRP is just east of Indianapolis. A true gem in the karting world which hosts some of the biggest kart races in the country. With a rich history in kart racing WRP is a prime go kart track you should visit.

Go Kart racing is the main priority at this track. But rental go karts are offered. This is a great way to get into the sport of go kart racing.

Learning the basics of how to drive on someone else’s equipment is a fantastic way to start. For a fraction of the price too. A 3 race package cost $56! That’s cheap! I don’t think you could pay for the engine oil needed for 56 dollars.

The track is beautifully laid out with well-manicured grounds that are appealing to the eye. Kids as young as 5 years old are out there learning the sport. WRP is a great place to take the family and start your go karting journey today.

At BetterKarting we want to help you with that journey. Click here for more go karting information!
