S&S Speedways – Real Indoor Racing Go Karts
The Poconos have a lot of go karts to race. By far the most realistic and most fun will be S&S Speedways. The track, the go karts, and the venue offer a thrilling go kart experience you will never forget. Let’s take a look at the go karts and the track to see why that it is.
S&S Speedways – Go Karts
You will not find go karts like these at another rental place! They are one of a kind and extremely fun.
These are indoor gas go karts. A little but more old school than the going trend where everything is electric. Gas go-karts drive differently. Momentum is very important!
The karts also are enclosed in a full body to replicate an east coast modified! Gives you the feel of a real race car!
The Track
The track is a concrete tri oval. This may seem boring. It is the complete opposite. The track surface is prepped to make this track drive like a dirt track. Pitching the go kart sideways is the fastest way around the track.
There is always a fine balance between sideways and too sideways. You need to find the balance of speed and scrub. Too sideways and you scrub too much speed.
The Venue
This is really a go kart focused venue. There are some arcade games but let’s face it your here to race!
There is no food offered. You are allowed to bring outside food in though.

Lehigh Valley Grand Prix – Intense Indoor Go Kart Racing
Just a short trip to the south is one of the best go karting experiences in the area. Lehigh Valley Grand Prix offers some intense indoor go kart racing.
The track is a 1/4-mile long with 11 turns. Plentys of places to overtake the competition.
The go karts are gas powered go kart engines. This means the building is ventilated. This creates some challenges during extremely hot and cold weather conditions. Just be sure to dress appropriately. Wear enough warm clothes in the winter and be sure not to over dress in the summer.
The races are 7-8 minutes long which will be about 10-15 laps. The cool thing about Lehigh Valley Grand Prix are the timed laps.
Go Karting is all about having fun. But someone will always come off the track and say, I WON!
Since the races are timed, you can go back to the scoring sheet and see who ran the fastest lap! That is how you will know who really won.
Additional Features
At Lehigh you will not only have go karts to race. They also feature axe throwing. Click here to learn more about Axe Throwing!
Food
The Food offered is also amazing. You can get pizza and other appetizer type meals. Beer and wine are offered if you are finished racing for the day. Click here to learn more about the Food and Drink offerings.

Hamlin speedway is a real dirt racing go kart track. Featuring different racing classes from go karts to mini sprints. The action never stops!
Going to a dirt race for the first time may be a little bit of a shock to your system. The roar of the engines, dirt flying, dust clouds, and passionate racers will surely bring you back for more.
Dirt racing is exciting because of the shorter races and the high speeds. Driver’s balance sliding sideways and carrying speed through the corner.
The track at Hamlin Speedway
The track is a 1/5-mile oval hosting races every Saturday Night. The semi banked oval offers small dirt car action. Meaning large race cars like Late Models and Modifieds are not raced.
