1. San Antonio Karting Complex

Requirements to Race

• Double seater driver must be 18 years or older
• Double Seater driver must be 56″ tall to drive
• Double Seater passenger must be 48″ tall
• Racers must be 56″ tall and at least 12 years old to drive a single go kart
• Closed toed shoes are required
• Long hair must be tied up and secured

San Antonio Karting Complex

One of the best go karting tracks in San Antonio is about 30 minutes east at San Antonio Karting Complex. You have the ability to bring your own go kart or rent their go karts to race on a real karting track!

The track is a 1/2 mile with 10 turns. Plenty of chances for overtakes and mistakes to be made. The track is asphalt. These types of tracks are called sprint tracks.

There are no reservations required. If your party is 10 or more, you may want to book a time so you avoid waiting and ensuring you all can race together.

Something that I would be very interested in would be the league racing. You can race their go karts in an 8 race shoot out!

The races are set up just like a real race night. Random draw for starting position, heat races and then feature races. Sounds like fun to me! For more information on the rules for the league click here!

• Junior Racer Minimum height 48″
• Adult Racer Minimum height 58″
• Closed toed shoes required
• Tie up long hair
• Avoid loose or baggy clothing

K1 Speed – Best Indoor Go Karts in San Antonio

K1 Speed has some of the best indoor electric go karts not only in San Antonio but across the US!

These go karts are fun, fun and challenging!

They are powered by electricity. The 20-HP electric motor will set you back in the seat when you mash the throttle. It really is a great feeling.

Racing at K1 Speed is based on your fastest time. Run the fastest lap and you are the winner of that race. Everyone starts at different spots on the track.

Hill Country Kart Club Raceway – Real Go Kart Racing in San Antonio

HCKC is a club go kart track that races real go karts. For rental go karts you will need to visit SAKC.

At Hill Country Kart Club you will find racers from the age of 5 all the way up into their 70s and maybe older. That is the beauty of kart racing. If you can handle the speed, you can race.

Go karting is a family sport. It is a challenging and exciting way for the family to come together and learn how to race.

HCKC Schedule

For a rough idea of when you can see some races, visit the track on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. They do not race in December.

Spectators are more than welcome to come and watch for free. If you have a friend racing or family member it is only $5 for a pit pass. This will grant you access into the pits so you can assist.

• Mini Mario Racers: Minimum height 36″ Recommended age 4-6 years old
• Avoid wearing any loose clothing

• Driver must be 50″ tall to race in NASCAR Junior Race
• Driver must be 54″ tall and at least
• Passenger must be between and 40 inches and 50 inches tall
• Driver of the passenger must be at least 18 years old
• Passengers are only allowed on the NASCAR Junior race
• Closed toed shoes are not required but I recommend wearing them
• Tie up and secure hair longer than shoulder length
