There are not many places in this great country that you can rent real racing go karts. NOLA Motorsports checks that box. If you are looking to get into the sport of karting this is the perfect place. You can experience the thrill of karting for a fraction of the cost.

Requirements to Race
- Must wear a head sock when using the supplied helmets. (More than welcome to bring our own full-face helmet)
- 235lb max weight limit
- Must be 60″ tall to drive the racing go karts
- Must be 48″ tall to drive the K Karts
- Must be 48″ tall to drive the Junior Karts
- Passengers in the double-seater go karts must fit securely in the safety harness
River Road – Go Karts in Louisiana
River Road is just north of New Orleans and is well worth the trip. This outdoor go kart venue is another great go kart racing experience.
What makes this place special are two things. One, is that you will be renting and racing real go karts. Two, they have plenty of options to race different types of go karts as well.
The track is relatively short which improves visibility and service in case of a crash. There is a fairly long straight part that leads into some fast “S” corners which make great passing zones.
The Go karts raced are 9 HP Dino Karts. They put 6 go karts out there at once so you get to actually race with your buddies.
Due to private parties, you will want to call in advance to make sure you can race before heading out there.

To my surprise there are not many places to go kart in New Orleans. I guess most people head to that town for other reasons!
