A place like The Track in Gulf Shores is great for your next date. Fun go karts and arcade games are a fun change of pace from the usual date ideas!

Requirements to Race

• Elevated Tracks – 4′ 10″ to drive single go kart and passengers must be 3
• Slick Track – 5′ to drive
• Family Track – 4′ 6″ to drive and 3′ for passengers
• Rookie Track – 4′ to drive
• Kiddie Karts – 3′ 6″ – 4′ to drive

The Track – Best Go Karts Gulf Shores

Visiting the Gulf shores this summer?

Why not stop in and have some fun at the Track at Gulf Shores! There are go karts for everyone!

These go karts go up and down and around some of the craziest go kart tracks around. The Wild Woody is a three and a half story high wooden go kart track the winds back down to the ground with a super exciting drop at the bottom!

Requirements to Race

• Must be at least 4′ 6″ tall to drive
• If you are shorter than 4′ 6″ tall you can ride along with an adult
• Be sure to tie up hair past shoulder length
• Avoid baggy and loose fitted clothing

Track Side Go Karts – Family Go Karts Gulf Shores

For a really affordable go karting experience you can visit Trackside Go Karts and Games. For only 5 dollars you can race go karts and have a lot of fun. Most rental tracks these days are around 25 dollars for one race!

One race is about 12 laps around the fun little outdoor go kart track. A feature that I really like about the track are the banked corners. When you enter the corner and hit the apex you drop down and you feel the G forces pulling you down.

Trackside will make for a really fun afternoon in the Gulf Shores!

Waterville USA/Escape House

The ultimate waterpark and go karting experience in the Gulf Shores! Waterville USA is mainly a water park. But that does not mean the go karts won’t be a blast.

You can race outdoor gas powered go karts around a pretty large go kart track. The track has elevation changes as you go up and over another section of the track on a small overpass.

As you come down off the incline you dive right into a sharp hair pin curve that will test your skills. Be ready to make the pass as it is the perfect opportunity!

Since these go karts are located in the Waterville USA Park you will have to purchase a general admission ticket and then the cost of the go karts is an additional cost.

Sunny South Raceway – Real Racing Gulf Shores

If I found myself in the beautiful Gulf Shores of Alabama I would sneak away from the beaches and head over to Sunny South Raceway!

Why?

Not because they have fast rental go karts and not because of some really challenging track. It would be because of the serious and intense racing you can watch.

The D-shaped oval produces some amazing racing that draws some of the best talent all over the country.

Some of the future heavy hitters such as Brexton Busch have raced here. The son of Kyle Busch, a total legend in NASCAR.

The next generation of racers cut their teeth at tracks like Sunny South Raceway. These young guns put on amazing shows that you will not want to miss if you are in the area.

From the beaches in the Gulf Shores, Sunny South Raceway is only an hour away. You can sneak away from sandcastles and sunburn to watch some racing.

You won’t regret it!
