Requirements to Race

• Must be 14 years or older to race the adult karts
• Must be 8-13 years old to race the junior karts
• All racers must be a minimum 8 years old and 48″ tall
• Closed toed shoes required

What to wear when you go go karting?

Speedway Indoor Karting – Daytona

In one of the most historic racing cities in America sits one of the best Indoor Go Karting experiences in America.

Speedway Indoor Karting in Daytona Beach is a premier indoor karting facility. Featuring an oval track and a road course track. Each one providing a challenging experience that will test your racing abilities.

My favorite part about the road course is the downhill RH turns. These elevation changes promote an oversteer condition causing the back of the go kart to get loose. This is the perfect place to pass!

The go karts are fully electric producing zero exhaust gases. This improves the experience for everyone.

The go karts have dual electric motors (yes, just like your Tesla). The adult karts push 45 mph! and the junior kart mode 20 mph.

Handicap go kart racers are not left out either. The adult karts have hand-control options available.

If you hit your go karting peak, you can go throw some axes! Yup, Axe throwing and go karts under the same roof!

2. Go-Kart City

Requirements to Race

• Must be 54″ tall to drive an F-2000 (go kart)
• Must wear closed toed shoes
• Anyone under 54″ tall can ride as a passenger for free

What to wear when you go go karting?

Go Kart City – Go Karts Daytona Beach

Just a short trip from the beach is Go Kart City. Go Kart City is an outdoor go kart track located very close to Daytona Beach.

The go karts are gas powered. Being an outdoor track there is plenty of ventilation so fumes will not be an issue.

Other activities at Go Kart City include Miniature golf at Mystic Harbor, Batting cages and an Arcade. This is the perfect place for birthday parties and families.

3. Daytona Lagoon

Requirements to Race

• Must be 56″ tall to drive a go kart
• Passenger must be a minimum of 36″ tall
• Must have a valid license to drive a double go kart

The best overall go karting package has to be Daytona Lagoon. Let’s face it, you are most likely in Daytona for the beach, or some other event. Go karting is just an added bonus while you are in Daytona!

But, at Daytona Lagoon there is so much to do. Starting with the go karts you will find outdoor gas powered go karts. They have single and double options making it fun for the entire family.

Once finished up go karting there is so much more to do.

4. New Smyrna Go Kart Club

NSB Kart Club – Real Go Kart Racing in Daytona Beach

NSB Kart Club is the first step in becoming a professional race car driver. Learning how to race go karts on dirt and a short track teaches valuable lessons that will carry over into your entire racing career.

The track is located at New Smyrna Speedway. It is a small dirt oval. The racing is super-fast and exciting. The speeds are intense, and the racing is really close.

I have raced on some small ovals before, and everything happens very fast. You need to hit your marks and be ready to make a move when you need to pass.

If you want to start racing and you live in the Daytona, Orange City, De Leon Springs, DeLand or any other city close go to the Dirt track at New Smyrna. Speak with the other racers. Learn what they are doing.

Racers usually love to get other people started in the sport. The more people racing the better!

5. Family Fun Town

Requirements to Race

• Driver of single go kart must be 8 years old and 54″ tall
• Driver of a double go kart must be 16 years old with a valid driver’s license or 18 years old

What to wear when you go go karting?

Family Fun Town – Go Karting in Daytona Beach

Another great family fun location is Family Fun Town in Orange City. Orange City is only 30 minutes from Daytona Beach.

The go karts are gas powered outdoor go karts. The track is 800 feet long and there are some sharp turns for passing and straight parts for speed.

There are single and double go karts, so the little ones are sure to get in on the fun.

Some other great attractions at Family Fun Town are VR attractions, mini golf, batting cages, and an arcade.

Food is offered onsite. You will find your common snack foods like pizza, wings, Hot dogs and burgers. This is a great family fun location that is good for all ages.
