You might have a bit of sticker shock when looking at these prices. You get what you pay for. That couldn’t be truer when talking about go kart racing in Chicago. Do you want those slow go karts that are heavy and leave you disappointed? Or do you want a go kart that is going to leave your smiling ear to ear because it was so much fun? Yea, that’s what I thought.

Accelerate Indoor Speedway – Fastest Go Karts in Chicago

Accelerate Indoor Speedway boasts the fastest go karts in Chicago that you can rent. The 20 HP electric motors move these go karts up to 50 MPH! That is pretty amazing for some rental go karts.

Besides the go karts there are a lot of activities to do. Something for everyone young and old. There is a full restaurant to eat and drink once finished go kart racing. For the little ones there is an arcade to entertain. For the old ones there is a full bar. If dad or grandpa gets worn out they can sit down and have a beer. We all know moms wouldn’t quit! 

The two coolest additions are the Axe throwing and the two VR arenas now open. I have done axe throwing at Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Jessup, MD. It is a ton of fun. Difficult for me at first but once you stick a few its game on. 

The Virtual Reality Addition features two arenas to choose from. Reclaim and Chaos Jump.

Haunted Trails Burbank – Outdoor Go Karts Chicago

Haunted trails Burbank is a year-round “Halloween Themed” amusement park. Go karts are just one of the great attractions at Haunted Trails Burbank. 

Open from April thru October the go karts are truly one of the best family go kart options in Chicago. These go karts are designed for family fun.

Haunted Trails Burbank has two different options for go karts. Depending on the height of your child may determine which go kart they can race. 

No more sitting back and watching the big boys race. It’s their turn to go out there and mix it up! The Jr. Speedway go karts put them in control. At a very affordable price in comparison to others on this list too! 

The Trails Raceway go karts are also very affordable at $8 per ride. The two seater option is really cool as well. If the little one is unable to drive the Jr. Speedway go karts hopefully they can ride along to enjoy some fun.

Play and Spin – Chicago Indoor Go Kart Racing

Just 15 miles from Downtown Chicago is another great family fun go kart track. Play and Spin is a very conveniently located go kart track for anyone in the Chicago area. 

Play and Spin have a 6,000 sqft track. You compete with seven other racers at a time. The go karts are electric producing high-performance torque filled fun. You must be 54” tall to operate the go karts. It will cost  you 10 dollars for one go kart race. They also have  two seater go karts so your little ones can ride along as well.
