Go Kart Lubbock – Real Racing in Lubbock
LKA is located on the west side of Lubbock. Offering two different tracks onsite with tons of action. At LKA you will find a family environment, promoting a strong racing culture. Racing is more than just on the track. It is about a family getting together and having some fun.
At LKA they have two go kart tracks. There is a Speedway Dirt track and a asphalt/concrete Sprint Track.
Sleepy Hollow Raceway Asphalt/Concrete Sprint Track
This is a road course sprint track. A “straight up go kart” is used for a track like this. Where the seat is centered or slightly to the left compared to the center of the chassis. The provides a more equal weight distribution. Equal weight distribution can make cornering left and right easier.
The sprint track has a two-surface combination. The different surfaces provide varying levels of friction. Drivers can become loose or tight very quickly promoting passing. This can cause some tricky corners and exciting racing.
There are also multiple configurations of the sprint track. Having the ability to change the go kart track is exciting. As a driver I always found it fun to run a different variation of the same go kart track.
Sleepy Hollow Raceway is a 1/2-mile track. They race once a month year-round.
County Line Speedway Dirt Track
The dirt track is located right next to the sprint track. Offering a different style of racing for sure. The dirt track is another great venue for go kart racing in west Texas.
The track was built in 2000 and currently races April – October. Measuring at a 1/8 mile.
LKA Details
LKA is NOT a rental go kart facility. You bring a go kart and you can race. The Briggs LO206 engine is very popular.

Thunder Zone Go Karts
Thunder zone is another great family fun spot. They feature outdoor go karts with a couple different tracks. The road course track is for everybody, and the oval track is dedicated for an older group (16 and older).
Thunder Zone Additional Features
Thunder zone is not just about go karts. They have many more attractions to offer. Then entire family will have something to entertain them. The game room and laser tag are in the same building. Purchasing the 2 hour unlimited band allows you to bounce around from attraction to attraction with no limitations.

Adventure Park – Family Go Karts Lubbock
Go Karts in Lubbock, TX would not be complete without Adventure Raceway. This venue is a complete family fun experience. There is so much to see and do at this Park. Go karting is an adrenaline packed sport. It only makes sense that it would be offered alongside an Obstacle course, zip line, playground (legit, giant playground), rock wall and many more attractions.
Test your skills on the twists and turns of the Adventure Speedway. High speed downhill sections shooting into a super-fast chicane. This Speedway is an exciting track for beginners and experts.
For the perfect family experience single and double go karts are offered. For a Double go kart the driver must be 18 years old and 54″ tall. The rider 40″ tall.

Slaton Speedway – Real Go Kart Racing
When you have gotten bored with the “fun go karts” take a trip out to Slaton Speedway. Slaton Speedway is an 1/8-mile dirt oval. The banked corners and long straightaways make for some high speeds and exciting racing.
Slaton Speedway is located just outside of Lubbock about 16 miles. This is the perfect day trip to watch some family fun go kart racing.
Go kart racing is one of the purest racing sports you can start. Most people start go kart racing because of the pure enjoyment they get out of the sport. At Slaton their goal is to promote family fun and good sportsmanship through kart racing.

West Texas Speedway is directly south of Lubbock off of 87. If you are looking for some exciting dirt racing, then this track is the place to be.
Featuring Sprint Cars, stock cars, and modifieds. All three classes of cars have their own unique racing style that will always put on a show.
Not to mention the atmosphere. The smell of race gas and the sound of roaring engines gets the kids pumped to come back and watch another race.
Racing from April until August there are plenty of chances to see a show or two.
