Autobahn Indoor Speedway – Jacksonville’s Best Indoor electric go kart track

If you are in the North Florida area and looking for a fun evening activity, go to Autobahn speedway! Trust me, you will not regret it.

Living within an hour of two Autobahn tracks I can personally approve of the high-speed fun you will have. These go karts are fast and fun.

The go karts used are powered by batteries and electric motors. They produce zero emissions.

One of the best benefits to this is the facility can be air conditioned. So many times, indoor go kart facilities have to be open to vent the exhaust out. In Florida this means a sticky humid hot go karting experience. Not at Autobahn! You will enjoy a nice cool racing experience.

The go karts will push 50+ MPH with the 20HP electric motors. I promise you a good time when racing at Autobahn.

103rd St Sports Complex – High Speed Intense Go Kart Racing

I have vivid memories of racing in the WKA Gold Cup Series back in the day. This track is really fun.

You may not think drafting or bump drafting is a thing in go karting. Well, at this track it is not only a thing it’s a necessity. The back stretch is about 1000′ long! By the time you get to the end you are hauling ass!

The back stretch ends in a 90-degree banked left hand turn. This track creates some amazing races and put on a really good show.

One of the tricky parts of racing here is the gearing. The go karts I raced did not have a transmission. You had one gear. You can change the driver (drive gear) or sprocket (driven gear). This would allow you to run the engine in the most optimal RPM range for torque and horsepower.

The tricky part was determining where you wanted to have the most speed. In the corners or down the straight. There is not right or wrong answer here. Pending your driving style, go kart, set-up and skills you can make either work.

Best part about this track is you can watch the races for free. Get out there and start your go kart journey today. For more information on getting started in go kart racing click here!
